Missouri CCW Endorsement Class Information.
 
Weekend classes will have 8 hours of training, including 6 hours of classroom time on Saturday and 2 hours of range time on Sunday.
Applicants for a concealed carry endorsement in Missouri are required to satisfactorily complete a class of at least eight hours duration, conducted by an approved instructor. The class must be completed prior to applying to your Country Sheriff's Department.  Completion of the course does not guarantee a successful background investigation. All Missouri County's are currently accepting applications.
While anyone may take the course, applicants for a concealed carry endorsement (permit) must be: A resident of the state of Missouri for at least six months, or a member of the Armed Forces (or spouse), twenty three years of age, not been convicted or plead guilty to a felony, crimes of violence, or weapons violations, and is not the respondent in an order of protection. Other restrictions may apply.
Students will need to supply suitable handguns and ammunition (50 rounds for the first gun and 20 rounds for a second type of handgun). Proficiency with both a revolver and a semi-automatic must be shown in the classroom and range. Students without one type of handgun may be provided with a staff gun. Ammunition for the staff gun must be purchased from the instructor.
 
Students must provide hearing and eye protection. Safety glasses and earmuff style protection are recommended.
Tuition : $150.00, payable at time of registration. You must pre-pay for your spot in the class. Tuition payment needs to be made at Dennys Guns, 2001 Clay St. in North Kansas City, MO.
 
Classroom: The classroom portion will be conducted at teh Shafer, Kline & Warren building at 2005 Swift Ave in North Kansas City. SK&W is located 1/2 block east of Dennys Guns. SK&W has agreed to provide classroom space only. Please do not contact their office for other information or outside of class hours.
 
Range: Parma Woods Rifle Range. Directions will be supplied during the class.
The target required for the range is a B-27C. Targets will be provided. Students may keep the practive target if they choose. Qualification targets will become part of the permanent course record. While not required by statue, 15 of 20 recorded rounds must fall inside the 7 ring in order to pass this course.
Students must bring all handguns to the classroom. All handguns must be cased and unloaded. Please advise the instructor if you will be using handguns in calibers other than .380, .38/357 Mag, 9mm, .40, 10mm or .45 ACP.
